Is there dress code?
what if i don't understand something by the end of the course?
how long have you been teaching?
Is this class room based or shop floor?
Do we get a lunch break and are there facilities to eat and drink?
Answer:
Just a pen and a pad could be useful. All brand new hair dressing equipment is provided for you and you get to keep it all to start your career.
Upon completion you with be awarded a physical certificate of completion of course/workshop accredited by myself "Mike the barber"
Its not so much the recognized as the accepted. Most shops want to know that you have the ability and knowledge required to do the job more so than the generic recognized qualification. many shops will ask you to do a demo to prove your ability. Its here where it becomes obvious how well you were trained. much more respected than how recognized the certification body is. Id be happy to give reference for any of my students to any barbershop.
Yes iv'e never know anyone to struggle with this, i have asked this question to a big & well know insurance with a 'red telephone on wheels', the answer was yes. i can help with this at the time too.
No not really, just sensible comfy clothes
Don't worry, everything will be recapped and you can ask at any point. Remember there is only 2 students at a time max so we can move at a pace that suites.
After the course is finished any student is more than welcome to pop in socially or to ask for advise.
The first Barber i taught started in 2019, she had been qualified by a famous and highly thought of trainer 1 year before but still needed a lot of advanced tuition. she went on to be a fantastic barber now with her own shop and doing brilliantly. iv'e since taught several more.
Great question, the answer is both! we have a small class room/barber shop with everything a shop has but the front active barber shop will also be used to experience the real feel of the shop environment for demos.
So yes there will be a break for lunch, this will likely be 30 mins but its not strict. we have tea and coffee making facilities and ofcourse toilet facilities. There are many local cafes within walking distance, 1 is 20 second walk and they all offer eat in or take out food.
